Juliane Godfrey is a lover and maker of art with heart. A California native turned Broadway performer and arts educator, she was most recently seen on tour with the Lincoln Center production of My Fair Lady and made her Broadway debut in SpongeBob Squarepants the Musical. Other credits include: Something Rotten; the world premiere of Irving Berlin's Holiday Inn, Volleygirls, and many more at Arena Stage, Goodspeed Opera House, Paper Mill Playhouse, Sacramento Music Circus, Stages St. Louis, The Depot Theater, and the John W. Engeman Theater. She is a graduate of UCLA with a Theater BA/English minor and studied Shakespeare abroad. When she's not performing, Juliane loves teaching and has taught master classes and choregraphed for a wide range of organizations including Startstruck Youth Theatre, uCamps, The Performing Arts Project, Hello Broadway, Bella Dance Academy, and more!
During this 2-week program, students will act, sing and dance in a creative, supportive, community-driven environment. Students will work on audition techniques, prepare and polish monologues, sing and rehearse songs, learn a dance combination and gain valuable insider information for how to succeed in the exciting and competitive industry of theater from a professional who has "been there, done that". Students will also have the opportunity to work with guest instructors from the world of Broadway. All experience levels are welcome! Daily sessions will include script analysis, scene study, "acting the song", audition prep, a practical introduction to "The Biz of The Biz" and pro tips on vocal/physical health for performers.
