Covid-19 Safety Protocols
This summer, our detailed Covid-19 Response Plan includes staff training, vaccinations, multiple daily temperature checks, increased sanitation, appropriate social distancing, and use of applicable personal protection equipment (PPE). There will be a registered nurse on site and the camp has invested in rapid testing kits. All campers and staff will be required to show proof of a negative Covid test within 72 hours of camp starting and everyone will be screened before, during and at the end of camp. These steps will help to create a safe bubble whereby campers and staff can relax, be together and have fun living as one happy community.

LIT is open to participants ages 15-19*. During this 15 day, 14 night intensive program, LITs receive instruction and acquire leadership skills ranging from small group communication and effective conflict resolution to creative problem-solving and positive team building. Each LIT class experiences a sense of unity, forging strong bonds by facing challenges and overcoming both figurative and literal obstacles such as the high ropes course and a rugged overnight backpacking trip. Participants gain experience working with younger campers, learn powerful leadership techniques that will serve them for the rest of their lives and graduates of the program become eligible for employment with uCamps in future seasons**.
*For the LIT program, bus service is only available on the return ride home from camp on June 26.
**Graduation from the LIT program does NOT guarantee future employment.
