Life at Camp
Campers stay in cabins of 6-12 people and 1-2 counselors (Read about our uStaff)
At uCamps, we know that campers are busy having a great time, making art, exploring nature, and sharing adventures, so we work hard to ensure that our campers are drinking enough water, eating enough food, and getting plenty of sleep.
Each afternoon, we take a midday siesta in order to energize for our afternoon workshops and evening activities!
Our cell phone policy is "leave it in your cabin!" Cell phones are allowed at uCamps, but campers may only use it during their in cabin free time.
One month prior to Winter and Summer Sessions/one week before Fall Weekend Retreats every registered family will receive an email with the camp mailer with maps, a packing list, bus/parent schedules, etc.
Please enter their medication information in the appropriate fields when you register your child(ren) here.
We'll collect uCamper medications at checkin and return them at checkout.
Our camp nurse will administer all uCamper medications (except emergency medications that need to remain on the camper's person) for the duration of their stay with us.
Please note that we'll disclose your child's medical needs to our uStaff, so they may best care for your child, both in their cabin and in their workshops, for the duration of the session with us.
Our kitchen accommodates dietary restrictions including: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets, as well as various food allergies.
Our sites cannot provide physician prescribed diets, customized individual meals, or prepare any food a camper brings with them.
We may not be able to accommodate guests with special diet alternatives if we are not given advance notice, so please remember to select the dietary restriction when you register for camp!
We encourage campers with dietary restrictions to bring snacks in case nothing sold in the snack shack adheres to their dietary needs.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Are there scholarships or financial aid programs available?
A: uCamps is willing to work with any family to help make camp affordable. We offer early registration discounts and promotional prices throughout the year, as well as need based scholarships. To request a scholarship, simply email us with the camper's name, age, and a price you'd be able to afford. We'll do our best to work with u!
Q: Do you offer any payment plans?
A: Yes! We have different payment options (Deposit then Remaining Balance, Deposit then monthly payments, etc.) for you to select yourself when you register here. Please feel free to reach out and we can create a payment plan unique to u!
Q: How do you screen your staff?
A: All uCamps staff members must apply for their position, pass an FBI Background Screening, go through the interview process, and attend our staff training prior to the start of the session. To learn more about our staff, please visit the uStaff page.
Q: Do you accommodate dietary needs?
A: Yes! Our kitchens accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and dairy free diets, but they cannot provide physician prescribed diets, customized individual meals, or prepare any food a camper bring with them. We need advanced notice to provide dietary alternatives, so please remember to select the dietary restriction for your camper(s) when you register them for camp. We encourage campers with dietary restrictions to bring snacks in case nothing sold in the snack shack adheres to their dietary needs.
Q: How can I settle my outstanding balance?
A: When you select your payment option and pay the deposit with an e-check or credit card, you enroll in an auto-payment plan. This means the remaining balance or monthly payments will automatically be charged. You may also send a check to P.O. Box 363, Pleasanton, CA 94566, and we will debit your account. Be sure to include details regarding which camper this funds are intended for.
Q: Can my child be placed in a cabin with their friend(s)?
Q: Are cell phones allowed?
A: Yes, cell phones are allowed at camp, but all campers are to leave their phones in cabin and restrict their use to in cabin free time. The presence of cell phones at camp prevents participation in group activities and is the most common cause of homesickness. We understand your desire to check in on your child, and uCamps encourages you to write letters or send care packages. If there were ever a major problem or accident the parents would be contacted immediately.
Q: Where can I send letters or care packages?
A: Our programs take place at several different locations. Please refer to the camp mailer corresponding to the program your child is attending for the site address.
